Cops monitoring situation at Kajang Prison after Najib’s arrival


KAJANG: Police are keeping a close eye on the current situation at Kajang Prison here.

“As of now the police are monitoring and handling the situation,” said Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan when contacted.

Members of the media have been barred from entering the Kajang Prison complex.

Vehicles were also seen making u-turns. A crowd had congregated soon after news broke that Datuk Seri Najib Razak was sent to the Kajang Prison.

He was escorted into the complex at around 6.10pm.

“We waited here after hearing the news just now,” said a person in the crowd when met here.
